Meanwhile - 8 Days Later

Marriage is a book of which the first chapter is written in poetry and the remaining chapters in prose.
Beverley Nichols

When I last left you, a wedding lingered before us. Four days after the event, I'm still exhausted, but after a fairly good night's sleep, wanted to offer a glimpse of the festivity.

Such fun we had. Such laughter. Old friends, fun family. Beautiful weather. And the newly married off on their honeymoon. Below, a couple of photos. Will catch up more as soon as I catch my breath.

I wish. Ian's 18th birthday last night, Senior Awards tonight, baseball games Friday and Saturday, my mom visiting. Graduation in Arizona next week. Dream on, Julie. Dream on.

P.S. I will post a photo of me in my dress as soon as I get one that isn't all blurred. That IS me on the right in the top photo. Purple lady.

Great to see these pictures of such a happy day - and we will wait patiently to hear what you put on your own feet, and what they danced to.

    Did you cry?

  11. I can just taste the richness (and exhaustion) of your life right now in these words...it's too much, but it's just right, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

  14. My Dear Purple Lady,

Your hair looks beautiful from the back.

And the wedding looks like it was even more beautiful than your hair. Chelsea ... stunning. Jacob ... as handsome as a groom ever was.

I am so sorry to have missed it. I thought of you all on Saturday as the storm cleared and the weather turned gorgeous.

You should get a purple heart to go with that dress, for surviving ALL of these events at once. The hammock will reward you.
