Love the quote you shared. And, yes, things can feel overwhelming for all of us at times. I fully empathize with your feeling of not knowing where to start. I find that's when I need to prioritize. Do the most important tasks first. Also good to ask for help and delegate. I hope you are well, health wise?
This could be my post, Julie. I participate in mail art correspondence and due to recent family illnesses, became so far behind, I thought working on 4 at a time was a good idea! It was mind boggling! First things first, one at a time works better.
I'm behind in posting too...May 4th was the last! I better get busy! Am caught up with the mailart though!
Talk about getting away with doing nothing and throwing it out there for sympathy!!!!
You didn't get those smarts from me!
Seriously, thanks for all the help on my blog during that blog fiasco. So you see, folks, that she was busy with me visiting and her brothers and all of us and having to cook. She can cook and get a party going so easily, one forgets that it is work and time consuming and she was teaching too. So her excuse is legit.
But it still bothers me that she can get so many comments on nothing:)
I've been away from blogging, too. I missed the whole blogger catastropy a week or so ago that everyone was talking about. :)
I hope both of us can get a rhythm going again. But if we can't, hopefully our bloggy friends will think about us and drop by to see if we've posted and to say hello; and I hope that we will continue to check on them, too.
Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing right now. There are things I could blog about, but they are old news now. What is this blogging catastrophe Anita mentioned? I guess I missed it too. Bummer. Sounds intriguing.
I'm so far behind on visiting other blogs.. my internet is useless... thanks for popping over my way... hope you get to see that moon
You know I love the quote.. I often find when I ask advice.. i go the opposite direction.. haha. but i think hearing someone else's thoughts help to clarify one's own..
Well THAT got a laugh! Julie, you're absolutely not alone. You don't ever need to find an excuse, or fear that your readers will leave you. Seriously, I sympathize if you're feeling swamped by things-that-should-be-done, but don't let bloggging be one of them. it's just nice to see that you're still there, and one of these days you'll have time and energy to say more. All the best - really !
Oh, I've been in that situation many times. At your age, I could barely get my work done and feed my family. I admire people who can do it all. Thanks for the visit at sixtyfivewhatnow.

Lol your post made me laugh! Glad to see I'm not the only one not posting much these days. Times are changing, and sometimes we need to reflect and regroup and witness. Ah well. Hugs to you Julie!!!!
I absolutely understand...been there, done that. But, y'know what? We're all in this together and that gives me a lot of comfort. A blogging buddy is a blogging buddy is a blogging buddy....

Well, there you go. Nothing like support from your mother.
ReplyDeleteLove your mother and love having you back......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteI am also trying to be more consistent. I love to write, read and comment on blogs. Unfortunately, my real job gets in the way!
ReplyDeleteLove the Jong quote. So true.

ReplyDeleteTrust all is well, and please know that whenever you decide to "take the plunge" we are here, eager for whatever you wish to share.
I'm so far behind, I think I'm first. ;)
Hmm, let's start from May 18 2011!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great!? :)
Life takes the front seat sometimes.
ReplyDeleteC'mon in. The water's fine. And you'll have lots of company.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
The word verification says, "fling." I think it means yourself. :-)
I am always behind. Oh well. I just keep going. Start fresh every day.

ReplyDeleteI am kind of at that point myself...sometimes I just ask myself why? I am just not into it right now...
ReplyDeleteHaaaaa, don't I just? Love that photo, too!
ReplyDeleteI knooooooow! Right?
ReplyDeleteBut at least you check in! Hope all is well.
I know just where you're coming from, except I have no clue as to where to turn to for advice.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes... I've known the answer for a very long time. It is a wall I do not want to climb just yet.
Joey.... ((easier said than done))
