You make me happy, when skies are gray.
You'll never know dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Yes, Ian, your mother is strange, but you know that. Jacob and Jordan, she loves you, too. This is just what happens when the old lady can't sleep at 3am and her creativitiy has escaped her.
Your creativity has escaped you? Don't think so! If it's true that a picture paints a thousand words, you've just posted a short story! I've had the same problem lately ... have several posts in draft form, but can't seem to get the oomph to finish and publish. I think my brain is too busy making the To Do List and wondering why I can't find the oomph to do anything on it!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet pictures and very sweet sentiment! Oh, AND very creative!
ReplyDeletei loved it.
ReplyDeleteYou had me singing along with that - and lovely pictures too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that song. Lovely sentiment in your post.
ReplyDeleteThat is a special song for my husband and I :)
ReplyDeleteThe pictures were the perfect touch!
LOL. Love this post.
ReplyDeleteThere must have been a full moon last night or Virgo passed between Aries and Cancer or something... I tossed and turned all night, too. If these pictures are your back yard, I want to live where you live!
ReplyDeleteI agree, very lovely and very creative post. :) And I know about not sleeping at night. All too well. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post! There's nothing more poignant than a mother animal and her babies. Sweet dreams to you.
ReplyDeleteLooks like things are ducky out at your place! I wonder if you're getting as much rain and wind as we are down south.? Heard you guys got tornadoes and hail again.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet... I would have never thought of putting that together. Your brain is working just fine.. lol!
ReplyDelete:)
I just remembered a story my sister-in-law told me, about a friend of hers who lost a teenage daughter in a car accident. The mother and a sister got up at the service and sang You Are My Sunshine! Can you imagine? Alice said it was almost more than anyone could bear, and obviously not a dry eye in the place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tribute to your dad who sang this same song to all of you. Great memory for your siblings. This post provoked a whole conversation between us and the songs that your dad used to sing to you guys.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the blog, have learned so much about you that I never knew.
3am? Ok, you need a hobby. Wait, it's blogging!
ReplyDeleteAwwww,I love that song. I used to sing D1 to sleep with it. D2 was Baby Beluga. Great pics.
ReplyDeleteThat was my fall asleep song too! Every night, we sang it together - my parents and I. Goodness, that brings back so many memories!
